Sunderland AFC are reportedly interested in signing Burnley FC winger Chris Eagles.

The Daily Mail claims the Black Cats are ready to make a move after Eagles decided not to take up an offer from Scottish Premier League giants Rangers.

The former Manchester United starlet believed the £2.5 million switch to the SPL champions ‘would not be in his best interests’.

The paper claims the prospect of a move to Sunderland may have influenced the 24-year-old’s decision.

It is understood that Eagles would prefer a return to the English top flight.

WHY ON EARTH WOULD WE WANT HIM??? Riveros was outstanding in world cup and to be honest theres better players out there than eagles.
