Hearts have given a clear indication that Burnley FC target Andrew Driver will be leaving the club at the end of the season.
It seems the only issue now to be resolved is how much they can obtain for the midfielder.
Burnley have had an initial bid of £1.5 million but it is understood the SPL club are holding out for £3.5 million.
It is claimed that Dutch Eredivisie champions Twente Enschede had a £3 million offer refused yesterday.
Hearts' Director Sergejus Fedotovas said yesterday: "We have had a number of discussions with a few clubs, and I'm glad we have been getting very healthy interest in the player."
He added: ""Obviously, we will make a decision on what is in the best interests of the club. To a larger extent, the interests of the player and the club coincide - for us to achieve a sizeable transfer fee and the player to get to a higher level to continue his development would be quite important.
"We absolutely know what we want to achieve. If we get a proposal which falls within our expectations then we will consider it very seriously. If not, then we will keep the player for the benefit of the team."
