According to reports Burnley FC are looking to sign Charlton Athletic winger Lloyd Sam.

Skysports.com claims the Addicks’ failure to win promotion to the Championship has precipitated a scramble for his signature.

Sam is out of contract this summer and he is wanted by several Championship clubs.

Along with the Clarets, Leicester City, Queens Park Rangers and Sheffield United are all understood to be watching the situation closely.

Newcastle United, who were linked with the winger in January may well also be interested in taking him to St James’s Park.
