Jose Mourinho would struggle at Burnley FC claims Sunderland FC boss Bruce

Sunderland FC boss Steve Bruce feels even Jose Mourinho would have found it an impossible job at Burnley FC.

The scenario arose as Bruce paid respect to Wolves boss Mick McCarthy, the Wolves manager.

He believes the Special One at Inter Milan would have been hard pushed to keep the Clarets in the Premier League despite his glowing man-management credentials.

He said: "You put Jose Mourinho in at Burnley this year and it would have been interesting to see if he could do it on that budget.

"I would somehow doubt it.

"The problem is if you don’t get the budget or the right materials it's goodnight, and that doesn't matter how good you are. That goes for any manager."
