Burnley FC boss Brian Laws insists Leon Cort can handle Rory Delap threat

Burnley boss Brian Laws reckons he has the weapon needed to negate the throw-ins of Stoke City midfielder Rory Delap.

The Clarets face Stoke at Turf Moor tomorrow.

Laws revealed: "I was talking to Arsene Wenger at the Emirates at the weekend and he asked me who we were playing next."

"When I told him it was Stoke he looked at me and shrugged his shoulders.

"Most sides have struggled to deal with Rory Delap's throw-ins this season and they've caused them real problems. But we have Leon Cort to call on. He used to play with Delap at Stoke so he knows all about him.

"I would be stupid not to take advantage of this so I'll be picking his brains.

"I'll ask his advice because no-one should know more about those throws than Leon. I would be stupid not to ask him. He might have some inside information and then, if things don't go to plan, I can blame him!"
