Burnley FC boss Brian Laws is set to make a late decision on whether to include striker Steven Fletcher in the squad to face Stoke City on Wednesday.
The former Sheffield Wednesday manager is giving Fletcher as much time as possible to make the game and insists he will assess his fitness on a day-to-day basis.
"We are still not quite sure where we are with Steven Fletcher," said Laws. "We will take it day by day and monitor him.
"Obviously we want him in the team, there is no question of that.
"But we have got to be absolutely sure his mindset is right and he is fit to play. We will make a decision probably on Wednesday."
