Kevin McDonald feels he has become a target for Burnley FC's boo-boys.
McDonald has played in all seven league and cup games under new boss Brian Laws - starting six of them - since the former Sheffield Wednesday boss’s appointment in January.
Of Laws he told the Lancashire Telegraph: "He’s been good.
“Obviously it was Coyle that gave me my chance first of all but since he’s left I’ve kind of kept my place in the team.
“Maybe some people don’t agree with it, but this gaffer seems to like me for some reason.
“Sometimes you hear them from the sides, but you don’t take it personally. I don’t anyway. I don’t think any of the players do. But you can hear what they think.
“It’s the usual isn’t it, with the fans. The fans have their opinion and I’ve got my opinion. That’s just life really.
“I’m enjoying playing just now and hopefully it continues like that.”
