Burnley FC full-back Tyrone Mears is confident they can avoid dropping into the Championship.
Saturday’s visit of crisis club Portsmouth is the first of seven games in which the Clarets are hoping to cash in on their enviable home record.
“The only thing we are concentrating on is winning games. We have to play a lot of teams around about us, and the mood in the camp has been good,” Mears told the Lancashire Telegraph.
“Our home form is very strong. It puts some pressure on us because when we are playing at home now we are expected to pick points up and if we don’t there could be some doom or gloom, but we’re very confident here.”
