Burnley FC boss Brian Laws believes his side’s 5-2 mauling at Aston Villa was the result of a calamitous ten minutes.
The afternoon started promisingly as the Clarets opened the scoring through Steven Fletcher and were on level terms at the break.
But Laws’ men collapsed in the second half and Villa ran out easy winners.
He told Sky Sports: "We had a great start and I thought we were worthy of the lead.
"We were disappointed that they equalised from a corner. It was the second phase and it went through about three bodies.
"I think it went under the foot of one player and then under the foot of another which is disappointing.
"I thought we kept our shape well and were very good in the first half and deservedly got something out of it.
"In the second half we started well again and then they scored against the run of play and we had this mad 10 minutes which completely lost the game."
