Burnley FC boss Brian Laws has revealed that a deal to secure the transfer of Manchester United youngster Richard Eckersley could impinge on his summer transfer kitty.
The Clarets will learn on Monday how much they are to pay Manchester United for the defender.
“There has been some money set aside, but if it exceeds that it will eat into my budget,” said Laws.
“Hopefully the tribunal will favour ourselves up against a huge club like Manchester United.
“The situation has dragged on, but once we are in a tribunal we are locked in and have to pay what we have to pay.”
