Burnley FC are to find out on Monday the fee they owe Manchester United for young defender Richard Eckersley.
The Clarets have not yet paid a penny to Manchester United for the out-of-contract 20-year-old because the two teams could not agree a compensation fee under the Bosman ruling.
The Lancashire Telegraph understands the Old Trafford club wants around £1 million for the Salford-born defender who signed a four-year contract in July last year.
However, the Clarets are looking to spend more in the region of £200,000 on a player who has yet to make a Premier League appearance in a claret and blue shirt.
