Striker David Nugent has revealed he is happy to stay at Burnley FC permanently provided they avoid relegation from the Premier League.
David Nugent admits he is keen to stay at Burnley and will be doing all he can to ensure they retain their Premier League status.
The England cap has rejoined Burnley on loan for the rest of the season after scoring three goals in 17 appearances during his first stint at Turf Moor.
He has struggled to make a sustained impact at Portsmouth since his move from Preston in 2007 and does not anticipate being at Fratton Park for the start of next season.
A permanent deal at Burnley appeals to Nugent, providing manager Brian Laws can prevent the club returning to the Championship.
"I'm trying to keep myself in the shop window - I'm only on loan and I think I'll be leaving Portsmouth in the summer," said Nugent.
"If Burnley stay up then I'll be looking to stay."
