Burnley FC target Fitz Hall has signed for Newcastle United on loan from Queens Park Rangers.
The Daily Mirror claims Rangers were seeking to sell Hall in an effort to cut their wage bill in a major cost-cutting measure.
Hall was cleared to speak to Newcastle United and Burnley about a surprise deadline move.
While Clarets boss Brian Laws harboured hopes of signing the versatile Hall, it was in the capacity of defensive cover.
In addition, it seemed Hall was always keen on a switch to Tyneside.
