Burnley’s Wade Elliott has urged the home fans to recreate the intimidating Turf Moor atmosphere when high-flying Aston Villa arrive in town at the weekend.
Midfielder Elliott said: "We have shown we are capable of getting results but we know we have to keep that intensity and concentration up for the whole season.
"And that doesn't just go for the lads. The atmosphere, especially for the home games, has been top drawer and we really need the fans to keep that up for the whole season."
Turf Moor has seen some memorable moments already this season with the ground rocking to victories over Manchester United, Everton, Sunderland, Birmingham and Hull.
He added: “I think the crowd can sense what a big part they have to play and the part they have played so far.
"I am sure it won't happen but you don't want them to get blase about big clubs coming here week-in, week-out.
"We want to keep the noise levels and the atmosphere right up where they are and hopefully the lads can feed off that and we can help each other."
