Ex-Bolton Wanderers defender Danny Shittu has revealed he is ready to return to football.
The huge Nigerian defender has not played a competitive match since the World Cup in June.
"I've just been keeping fit and enjoying my time off," Shittu told Sky Sports News. "I'm looking forward now.
"I've been speaking to a few people. I will definitely get back into football soon. It's been an experience. Owen Coyle knows that I've always wanted to play football. To be fair he's a great man and he's come in and done a lot for Bolton.
"He knows that I was knocking on his door saying that 'I want to play football' because I've got so much to give and I'm so fit. I've come back from the World Cup and I'm just raring to go. I don't want to rush into anything that I don't believe will be right for me now.
"I'm just taking my time and want to make the right decision. I'm ready to play football again now. I can't wait."
