Bolton Wanderers defender Paul Robinson has taken issue with comments made recently by Arsenal FC boss Arsene Wenger.
The Frenchman claimed the FA should have suspended Robinson for his challenge that injured Gunners midfielder Abou Diaby.
But Robinson has defended his actions.
He said: "It's typical Arsene - an Arsenal player gets hurt and he goes public like that.
"I am not that type of player, I am fully committed, I am 100 per cent. I am not going to change that until I hang up my boots.
"I have seen it again and it was a good, hard tackle. When you slide in like that, it's impossible to get out of the way.
"Are we going to ban tackling? It's ridiculous. It's part of the sport. If we stop people tackling, it will become a non-contact game.
"I have got injured going into tackles in the past because I am committed. These things happen. There is nothing you can do about it.
"I have seen a lot worse anyway. But when it happens to an Arsenal player it is blown out of all proportion."
