Bolton Wanderers striker Danny Ward is happy with his loan move to Coventry City.
Ward helped Coventry to a 1-1 draw with Leicester City on his debut.
Ward said: “The loan move came about a couple of weeks ago.
“The gaffer at Bolton said there were a number of clubs in for me and that me and my agent should go away and speak to the clubs and make my decision.
“Aidy Boothroyd rang me up. He had done his homework and had watched me last season.
“He knew what I was about and that made my choice for me.
“The Championship is going to be quicker and I will need to be sharp. All the players are going to be bigger and stronger and I am here to get games for the first team.
“I want to keep playing in the first team for Coventry, then push into the Bolton team and then in a couple of years push into the England team.
“This is a stepping stone of progression into the Premier League. I finished last season with Swindon and that was a progression to the Championship.”
