Bolton Wanderers manager Owen Coyle is happy to hand winger Lee Chung-Yong an improved deal.
Lee proved an instant hit at the Reebok since arriving late in the summer of last year from FC Seoul for £2.2 million and was voted player of the year.
Coyle said: “If players have come in, like Chung-Yong Lee, and proven themselves to be bona-fide Premier League players then I think it’s important that you show parity, and that they are brought in line with what they should be earning,” Trotters boss Owen Coyle said.
“I think that’s only fair. I don’t want players playing out of their skin for me and then finding out they earn a salary that is far below the others who are playing well.
“I like to try and make it a level playing field because the players give their maximum for me and I wouldn’t like them to be compromised in any way.”
