Former Bolton Wanderers defender Danny Shittu has insisted he can take his time over where he will be playing this season.
Shittu is reported to have rejected a request from Celtic to prove his fitness and claims he has plenty of irons in the fire
He said: “Contrary to negative reports about what happened between me and Bolton, God has destined me to join a team that would put smiles on my face and that of my fans.
“I have some offers in England and some top ones too in Europe and I am confident that within a week, I will duly announce my preferred club.
“The most important thing for me is to join a club that will make me happy and also give me playing time so that I will be able to enjoy football the way I used to.”
