Bolton Wanderers manager Owen Coyle has received tributes from his Arsenal FC counterpart Arsene Wenger.
Wenger has praised Coyle for his handling of youngster Jack Wilshere in giving him regular first-team opportunities last season.
The Frenchman believes the Scot’s influence has helped turn the England Under-21 midfielder into a full Arsenal squad team member.
“I give Bolton a lot of credit for having played him,” stressed Wenger to Arsenal TV Online. “It transformed Jack in his power, in his confidence.
“Looking at him at 18-years-of-age he is well advanced and I personally like a lot how he has developed."
Asked whether he had been in contact with Owen Coyle during Wilshere's loan period at the Reebok, Wenger continued:
“Not a lot but we were in touch at the start of the season because they wanted him back which shows how well Jack had done there.
“I saw in pre-season that he has developed very quickly and that he is one of the assets for our team as well. I consider him now a full player of the squad.”
