Goal.com Korea claims Kim Seung-Tae, CEO of Lee’s representatives, TI Sports, told reporters at Incheon international airport that he met Wanderers chairman Phil Gartside in China where they agreed a contract.
The deal is believed to be worth around £1.7 million per year and will keep the South Korean at the Reebok until 2013.
He said: "Bolton's goal this season is to stay in the EPL [Premier League] but I would like to lead Bolton to mid-table."
Lee was the subject of transfer speculation towards the end of last season with Liverpool reportedly interested.
