Bolton Wanderers’s hopes of landing Manchester United youngster Tom Cleverley on loan have ended in disappointment.
Bolton Wanderers were in a tug-of-war with Wigan Athletic and Newcastle United to secure his services but Latics boss Roberto Martinez has won out.
Skysports.com understands the youngster has signed today to link up with Latics boss Roberto Martinez.
Cleverley has agreed a season-long deal at the DW Stadium after United boss Sir Alex Ferguson agreed to the deal.
Martinez will be pleased with his work given the competition he faced to land the highly-rated 21-year-old.
