According to reports Coventry City are set to lose out to Championship rivals Leeds United on Bolton Wanderers youngster Danny Ward.

Wanderers boss Owen Coyle has confirmed that Ward will go out on loan to gain experience and it was expected that he would join Coventry City.

City boss Boothroyd appeared set to link up with Ward, but it now looks increasingly likely the Bradford-born striker will be heading to Elland Road.

Speaking to The Bolton News Owen Coyle said, “I’m going to allow him out on loan but only until January to allow him to get that Championship experience."

“What I have done with the lad, so that he is comfortable with his environment, I have allowed him to speak to the necessary clubs.

Once that’s resolved, we’ll look at the finance involved for the football club and what’s involved in it.

“Whether it’s concluded this week, time will tell, but we are certainly agreeable to it.”

Not sure if this is a good move for him or not. I dont really think he's any good so as long as he's off the wage bill thats ok with me.

I rather doubt that he is joining leeds. Leeds have enough strikers already and no point going on loan if you won't get played and he wont.
