According to reports Newcastle United are chasing Bolton Wanderers defender Jlloyd Samuel.
The Bolton News understands Magpies boss Chris Huhgton has made enquiries about the Trinidad & Tobago international.
The 28-year-old’s future is in doubt following the news that Wanderers boss Owen Coyle has landed Real Madrid full-back Marcos Alonso.
It is understood that Coyle sees Alonso as a long-term replacement for Paul Robinson which leaves the way clear for Samuel to leave the club.
