Bolton Wanderers boss Owen Coyle has backed Jlloyd Samuel to quickly put his Manchester United misery behind him.
The 29-year-old gifted United a first-half lead at the Reebok last weekend with a bizarre own goal which set up a 4-0 thumping.
But Coyle says he has no hesitation picking him for the upcoming clash with Aston Villa.
“Jlloyd scored the own goal against Manchester United but he’ll be fine, I’ve got no doubts,” he said.
“He was disappointed at the time but he has acquitted himself ever so well in training.”
Gretar Steinsson returns from suspension for the Villa clash, leaving Robinson as the only unavailable defender.
And Coyle hopes he, too, will return to the fold by tomorrow, when he will make a final decision on his starting line-up.
“He hasn’t been training as such yet but we’ll give him every chance as the week progresses,” he said.
“We’ll take stock of things on Friday and see who’s available. I have got some options.”
