Liverpool FC reserves coach John McMahon hailed Scottish winger Alex Cooper after the win against Bolton Wanderers this week.
The youngster impressed when he came off the bench to set up the opening goal for David Ngog.
"Alex came on and was strong," McMahon told liverpoolfc.tv.
"He used the ball intelligently and full credit to him because he did really well for the goal."
Cooper is the son of former Aberdeen star Neale Cooper and joined Liverpool over two years ago from Ross County.
