Bolton Wanderers manager Owen Coyle insists his side are not safe from the threat of relegation, despite their seemingly comfortable position in the Premier League.

Wanderers were thumped 4-0 by Manchester United at the Reebok Stadium on Saturday.

They are 15th in the table with a five-point cushion between themselves and the drop zone.

But Coyle insists the situation can change quickly and his team must continue to push for points.

The 43-year-old said: "When I came into the job we were in the bottom three.

"We managed to win games, take points and come out of that, but until you are mathematically safe everyone is in there.

"Hull picked up a big result yesterday so we are still in a dangerous area and there is a lot to play for."
