Newcastle United striker Andy Carroll is reportedly attracting the interest of Bolton Wanderers.
The Daily Mirror claims he is also the target of local rivals Blackburn Rovers as well as Stoke City.
Carroll has recently opened up talks over a new five year deal.
The 21-year-old is the Geordies’ top scorer with 16 goals but is one of the lowest earners on £10,000 a week.
It seems that unless United are prepared to offer him a substantial increase he may fall prey to rival top flights clubs in the summer.
Toon boss Chris Hughton has labelled him a "vital" player for the club's future and he could emerge from a period of controversy off the pitch with a pay-rise.
