Boxer Amir Khan has revealed his role in Bolton Wanderers' revival.
Khan, who flew out to Los Angeles yesterday to begin training for his May 15 showdown with Paul Malignaggi at Madison Square Garden, recently visited the Bolton players to show them his WBA light-welterweight belt.
"I went to see the team the other week at the training ground," he said. "I showed them my belt.
“They were happy to see me and I'm sure it gave them that motivation.
"I had a little chat with them and told them that I've tasted defeat, but I came back to become a world champion so I'm sure these guys can stay up this season."
