Bolton Wanderers boss Owen Coyle has insisted his side will play themselves to safety in the Premier League.

Coyle believes other clubs at the wrong end if the table share the desire to play progressive football.

He said: "The picture painted of the bottom clubs is that they are more muscle than style.

“But that is not the case. People are pigeon-holed and it is others' opinions. But it does not have to be one-dimensional, getting the ball quickly from back to front.

"We are all here for the same thing, to win points to stay in this league, and that is what we are focusing on. And we will do it the way I want.

"It is interesting to also see that many of the teams struggling at the bottom are trying to play out of it with good football. Ourselves, Wigan, Burnley, West Ham, for example, and all doing that.

"We are all trying to get the best out of the players we have. We all want to stay up but we all also want to entertain.

"It is entirely up to other clubs how they play and set their teams up, but when I go to games I want to be entertained.

"We are unbeaten in our last five at the Reebok, so we are going in the right direction. We will be positive."
