Errant midfielder returns for Sunderland FC clash with Bolton Wanderers

Sunderland FC midfielder Steed Malbranque is set to return for the visit of Bolton Wanderers after being dropped and fined two weeks’ wages for breaking a club curfew a fortnight ago.

The Frenchman’s long-term future is also in doubt according to The Journal which claims he is unlikely to be with the club at the start of next season.

The Black Cats boss is expected to sell Steed Malbranque at the end of this campaign.

Bruce has been frustrated by the lack of energy and a cutting edge from the 30-year old after a bright start to life under the new manager.
