Bolton Wanderers boss Owen Coyle believes football would benefit from goal-line technology as long as it was 100% accurate.
The introduction of the system was ruled out at the weekend when the International Football Association Board met in Zurich and voted on the subject.
"The one thing I have always said is that I accept there is a lot of tinkering which goes on," Coyle said.
"Ultimately you don't want to change too much about the game, because it is the best game in the world.
"But I do believe with goal-line technology that, if there is a system in place that is foolproof, then that should be brought in.
"It's such a big (thing). Goals change games and ultimately change the results of matches.
"So I'm a big believer that if there is a foolproof scheme in terms of goal-line technology, then it should be brought in."
