Bolton Wanderers boss Owen Coyle still finds his side sitting just a point above the relegation zone as he prepares for their clash with Manchester City tomorrow night.

But the Scot has been dealt a huge blow as it seems one of his most influential players will be missing fro the rest of the season.

Defender Gary Cahill has suffered a blood clot on his arm.

Wanderers were unable to beat Fulham at home on Saturday and they have picked up just one win in their past seven league outings.

On-loan winger Vladimir Weiss is unable to face his parent club, while Andy O'Brien (thigh) and Fabrice Muamba (ankle) are both doubtful.

Loan signing Stuart Holden is still out with a thigh injury while Gretar Steinsson is ill.
