Houston Dynamo midfielder Stuart Holden’s move to the Bolton Wanderers is still a possibility.
New boss Owen Coyle admitted the 24-year old Scottish-born USA international had impressed and that loan deal could be on the cards.
"Stuart did well since he came in," said Coyle.
"He's picked up a little thigh injury in the last couple of days which has curtailed his movement a little bit.
"But he's done well and I'll have a chat with him today and his representative and see where we go from there."
Holden was linked with a move to Burnley when Coyle was manager there.
