It is reported that Walter Zenga is a candidate for Gary Megson's job at Wanderers.

The Daily Mirror claims the club is concerned about Bolton’s disastrous run of form and are now looking at possible management options.

A close associate is alleged to have said: “Zenga has been approached by Bolton.

“And knowing him well, he is very open to the idea. He speaks seven languages, including English, and has lived in many countries.

“England will be no problem for him.”

Zenga was fired as boss of Palermo on Monday by the Serie A side’s notoriously impatient president Maurizio Zamperini.

However, he is still considered highly in Italy.
