Wanderers Ricardo Gardner reckons must raise their game against Chelsea if they are to make up for their capitulation in the midweek Carling Cup tie.
He told Bolton News: “We didn’t get started, we didn’t get into the game at all. They were better than us all over the park.
“All we can do is to try and put it behind us and try and get off to a great start on Saturday. We should be looking for the three points because we are at home.”
“It was poor and we have to get it right on Saturday. It is a league game and I think it will be every bit as difficult as Wednesday night. We have to go out there and dig in from the first whistle to the final whistle.”
But Gardner is under no illusions about the task facing his side.
He added: “I think Chelsea is one of the most difficult fixtures we have in the whole season.
“We have got to go back to the Reebok and fight from the start to the end.”
