Wanderers defender Zat Knight will be striving to shackle a striker who is also a good friend from their Fulham days.
He and Everton's Louis Saha meet up today at the Reebok and the imposing defender has been speaking about their time together at Craven Cottage and beyond.
Speaking to Bolton News, he said: “We got on really well when he was at Fulham, and when he went to United, we kept in touch,” said the 29-year-old.
“I’ve played against him a few times at Everton. I think we’ve both done equally well, though he might see it otherwise.
“Louis Saha is a fantastic player but I won’t concentrate on what he does well. I know I am going to have a tough match against him.
“If I can do well, hopefully I can get one over him.
“But he is good in the air and has good feet, but it’s down to him and how he wants to turn up on the day.
“He has been very unlucky with injuries and has had a stop-start career. If you speak to the United boys they will say he was one of the best strikers down there.
“He knows that himself. But if you come back and have a good game and then get an injury, it’s hard to swallow, especially at a big club like United.
“You want to get a run in the team. Not getting a run will get him down, but his friends and family will help keep his head above water.”
