According to reports Leeds United are no longer seeking a permanent deal for centre-back Matt Mills.

Instead, it is understood the Yorkshire club is looking at a loan deal for the defender.

Mills has been linked with a £1 million switch to Elland Road this summer, in a move that would see him reunited with his former Reading manager Brian McDermott.

The 26-year-old joined Wanderers for a fee of around £2 million last summer and are believed to be asking for £1 million which exceeds Leeds’ valuation.
