Burnley boss Eddie Howe has admitted he is happy to have kept hold of Jay Rodriguez.

The player is believed to have been the target of several Premier League clubs.

Bolton Wanderers, Fulham and Newcastle United and Bolton Wanderers have all been linked with Rodriguez.

“If the window was open another week, I’m sure we would have got some bids for him,” said Howe.
