According to reports Bolton Wanderers have failed with a bid for Middlesbrough’s Rhys Williams.

The Australian international was reportedly the subject of a £6 million offer from Wanderers.

Reebok boss Owen Coyle has been keen to hook up with the player he worked with while at Burnley.

However, it seems his Boro counterpart Tony Mowbray is determined to keep him at the Riverside Stadium to help his side’s promotion push.
