Wigan Athletic bid for ADO Den Haag striker Verhoek

According to reports Wigan Athletic have launched a bid £700,000-rated Dutch striker John Verhoek.

The Daily Star claims Verhoek, who is on loan at ADO Den Haag from Rennes, has impressed Latics boss Roberto Martinez.

He has scored five goals in thirteen matches this season.

It is believed that Martinez had Verhoek lined up for a summer move, but is now bringing forward his plans given the Latics' precarious league position.
