According to reports Sunderland are interested in Bolton Wanderers skipper Kevin Davies.

The Daily Mail claims Sunderland manager Martin O'Neill is eyeing the veteran marksman.

O'Neill is desperate to add to his firepower as Connor Wickham is currently his only fit striker in his squad for Sunday's FA Cup tie with Middlesbrough.

The former Aston Villa boss is believed to view Davies as a possible answer to his problem.
