Wigan Athletic trail Bolton Wanderers in race for Leeds United midfielder Clayton

According to reports a number of Premier League clubs are in the hunt for Leeds United midfielder Adam Clayton.

Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez is understood to be interested in the player.

However, The Sun claims his Bolton Wanderers counterpart Owen Coyle is set to bid £2 million for the playmaker.

Coyle is set to swoop for the ex-Manchester City player after the breakdown of talks over a new Elland Road deal.

Stoke City and Fulham are also believed to be keen.
