Blackpool FC's move for Newcastle United striker Nile Ranger falls through

Nile Ranger’s proposed move to Blackpool from Newcastle United has fallen through, according to the Daily Mail.

The 20-year-old striker failed to agree personal terms with the Seasiders after the Tyneside-outfit accepted a £1.5million offer.

The move might not be officially dead in the water just yet though, with a loan agreement being an eventual possibility.

It is also believed that boss Alan Pardew was considering using the forward as a potential makeweight in a deal for Reading’s £10million-rated hitman Shane Long.
