Blackpool FC set to unveil signing of Newcastle United starlet

Ranger has failed to nail down a regular place in the Newcastle side

Blackpool are set to announce the signing of Newcastle United starlet Nile Ranger for an as-of-yet undisclosed fee, according to sources.

The pacey 20-year-old forward will join following a frustrating two-year spell on Tyneside - scoring only twice for the Magpies in 49 appearances.

The former England under-19 international was initially brought to the club in 2008 by former Director of Football Dennis Wise, but has failed to nail down a regular place in the side after showing glimmers of promise.
