Matt Gilks has become the latest member of the Blackpool squad to sign a new deal this afternoon.
The out-of-contract goalkeeper was highly expected to move on having rejected fresh terms and publically criticising the club for a lack of ambition following their relegation from the Premier League.
But with no clubs appearing to come in for him, the 29-year-old has made no hesitation in signing a two-year agreement with the option of an extra 12 months.
Gilks' U-turn represents a massive boost for Seasiders boss Ian Holloway who only had one senior keeper on the books after deciding to release Paul Rachubka and Richard Kingson.
He will now fly out with the rest of the first team squad to Portugal for their training camp.
