Blackpool have dismissed reports that they have had a bid accepted for Chelsea youngster Jack Cork.
It has been suggested that the Seasiders have been tracking the 21-year-old, who spent last season on loan at Burnley.
A host of clubs including Southampton, Leeds, Swansea, Burnley and Nottingham Forest have all been linked with the midfielder.
Speaking to the Blackpool Gazette, club secretary Matt Williams said: "Contrary to speculation, we have not had a bid accepted for the player and we were surprised to read that we had.
"The manager has given the chairman a number of targets and he is speaking to their clubs, their representatives and to the individuals concerned.
"As soon as something is finalised it will be announced."
