Blackpool boss Ian Holloway will attempt to sign loan-star Jason Puncheon on a permanent basis in the summer.
The 24-year-old winger has notched three goals in five starts since joining from League One promotion-winners Southampton three months ago.
Holloway has admitted he regrets signing Puncheon - who had no top flight experience prior to the move - on a loan arrangement as opposed to a permanent basis and will try to secure a deal in the summer.
"We've only borrowed him, which is a shame. I wish we had already bought him because I think he is a terrific lad," Holloway told the Blackpool Gazette.
"He looks to me as if he slots in with everything about this football club. It is no mean feat to jump up two levels and look really comfortable but he has, so well done to him."
Following a string of impressive displays for the Seasiders, the likes of Newcastle, Bolton, Everton and West Brom are reportedly battling for the forward's services and Holloway could face a fight to keep him even if the club retain their top flight status.
