Sunderland are lining up a move for Blackpool midfielder David Vaughan, according to Sky Sports.
The 28-year-old is out of contract in the summer at Bloomfield Road and he has yet to agree a new deal with the Seasiders.
The Welsh international previously admitted he would keep his options open this summer and a number of clubs home and abroad are thought to be interested in acquiring his services.
Sunderland boss Steve Bruce is keen to lure him to the Stadium of Light in a bid to bolster his midfield ranks for next season.
