Ian Holloway is reeling at Charlie Adam's suspension for Sunday's home clash against Spurs.
The influential skipper picked up his fifth booking of the campaign in Saturday's victory at Stoke following an aerial challenge with Dean Whitehead.
Under Premier League guidelines, clubs aren't allowed to appeal against yellow cards, so Adam will definitely miss the Sky-televised game against Harry Redknapp's high-flyers.
"I thought Charlie's booking was absolute nonsense," Holloway said.
"He won a brilliant header. You've got to try to win headers in games like this and he went for it. Their fella was rolling about on the floor.
"Charlie must have caught him but I don't think he meant it.
"But if (the referee thinks) that was a deliberate elbow or foul, I'm not having it.
"I saw a couple of other things that the ref didn't book people for, like the foul on Taylor-Fletcher in the first half. Is that consistent? I don't think so."
Keith Southern and Ludovic Sylvestre look the most likely candidates to replace Adam in the starting line-up.
